Weekend Hooo...
I had a great 2 days of weekends. On Saturday was shopping and dinner. Sunday was shopping and movie. Incredible! On Saturday I was damn freaking tired after getting back from some SMU freshmen CIP 24 hours marathon. It is a very interesting event that produces great art pieces. I will write about it in the next few days. Too precious to miss it out.
Saturday
Bought some Polo Tee from CK Tangs and Formal green shirt and tie from G2000. Then went to Ding Dae Feng for dinner. I could tell you the beef noodle was damn fragrant. They improved a lot from the last time I ate there. Or maybe I didn't know it ever existed.
I fell in love with this. The soup is damn nice!
Syahiid and Jansen. Damn act cute. =p
The Afro Guz is back. And cheers for him.
Sunday
Bought 3 more clothes today. Pardon me for buying so much clothes. Honestly I haven't been shopping since January. Now that I can spare some time, I would rather buy some clothes rather than waiting until I have none left.
Well, I was told by my friend. I shouldn't mention who. (name is protected) There is this story about an NTU student that came from China. He has only 1 clothes and he wears it everyday. After he bathe, he would wash his shirt, dry it up and wear it again. He wears it to sleep, to school, to anywhere he go basically. And he sleep on the bed straight without putting any bedsheet. I don't know whether I should pity him or be disgusted. I guess half of both lah.
On Sunday I also watched Thank you for smoking. The show was perfect. I would give it 9/10. I strongly reccomend this movie and I feel all of you should watch this. Movie of the year. Humorous, tactful and cretively produced.
RatingsThrill : 8/10
Humour : 10/10
Storyline : 9/10
Overall entertainment factor: 9/10
Funky lines that you will hear during the movieLittle girl: "My mom say smoking is bad for health"
Nick: "Is your mother a doctor?"
Nick's son, Joey: "Dad, why is the American government the best government?"
Nick: "Because of our endless appeals system."
Captain: "I was in Korea shooting Chinese in 1952. Now they're our best customers. Next time we won't have to shoot so many of them."
Short intro to movieNick Naylor, chief spokesman for Big Tobacco, makes his living defending the rights of smokers and cigarette makers in today's neo-puritanical culture. Confronted by health zealots out to ban tobacco and an opportunistic senator who wants to put poison labels on cigarette packs, Nick goes on a PR offensive, spinning away the dangers of cigarettes on TV talk shows and enlisting a Hollywood super-agent to promote smoking in movies.
Watch out for MOD (Merchants of Death) Squad. Polly Bailey representing Alcohol, and Bobby Jay representing Guns, and Nick Naylor representing ciggarette. They are damn funny!
Puff-ect movie!
